Your Personal Data is used solely for the purpose of receiving, tracking and resolving your issue, or answering your question. We may use your provided contact information to respond with a resolution or ask for more information. Once your query or issue is resolved, the data regarding it is deleted.

Location Data

The Weather Trove iOS application provides the option for you to allow use of your current device location, either one-time, or on-going when using the app, or always (background). This is completely optional. There is no benefit to choosing the option to always share your location as it is only ever used while you are using the app.

How we use Location Data

Location data shared with the Weather Trove iOS app is used to create a geographical bounding box for the purpose of constraining your search of Climate Stations. This allows you see just those stations within a specific distance of your current location.

This data is not stored and only passed to the server in the form of a bounding box (not a precise location) for the search request.

Usage Data

Usage data is collected automatically by the website and applications and may include information such as:

• your device’s Internet Protocol address (IP address)
• a unique identifier for your device
• type of device
• operating system type and version
• browser type and version
• which pages you visit and for how long
• screen image if you choose to include as part of bug feedback
• other diagnostic information

How We Use Usage Data

The collection of usage data is for the following purposes:

• Delivery of services (e.g., serving web pages, providing app functionality, etc.)
